brooch from credit cards by Reka Lorincz
Named after Baudelaire’s famous volume of symbolist poetry, this upcycled brooch is a testimony of decadence. The elaborate flower petals – with a pearl at the top - are made from cut-up credit cards and hold, somewhat peculiarly, by plastic toy-soldiers. This alluring and decorative piece is a clever piece of art at the same time that - unfortunately - will never lose its symbolic meaning and relevance.
